New Technologies Could Reduce Fuel Use in Passenger Vehicles

June 3, 2010 -- A wide array of commercially available technologies can significantly reduce fuel consumption in passenger vehicles, says a new report from the National Research Council. Assessment of Fuel Economy Technologies for Light-Duty Vehicles reviews the technologies and provides estimates of how they would affect vehicle purchase prices.
