March 26, 2010 -- The National Academy of Engineering published a workshop summary today that calls lifelong learning a necessity for engineering professionals and examines how rapid technological changes and emerging fields impact engineers’ ongoing knowledge. Lifelong Learning Imperative in Engineering also looks at the history of continuing education in the field, the issues around certifying such education, and the challenges presented by a global marketplace.
