NAE, IOM Discuss Engineering Innovations in Health Care

March 1, 2010 -- Charles M. Vest, president of the National Academy of Engineering, and Harvey V. Fineberg, president of the Institute of Medicine, participated in a regional meeting on "Engineering Innovations in Health Care." Held at the University of Miami, the event was organized by NAE members James Tien and Daniel Berg, both from the College of Engineering, and IOM member and University of Miami President Donna Shalala moderated the discussion.
