NAE President Among Newly Elected Foreign Members of Chinese Academy of Engineering

December 3, 2009 -- Charles M. Vest, president of the U.S. National Academy of Engineering, and four of his fellow NAE members were recently elected as foreign members of the Chinese Academy of Engineering. There are a total of 36 foreign members of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, which was established in 1994 to recognize engineers who have made significant achievements in their fields as well as to offer studies to inform decision making on key national issues.
