New Exhibits Celebrate 100th Anniversary of the NAS Building
On view through 2024

To commemorate the centennial anniversary of the NAS Building, which was dedicated by President Calvin Coolidge at the NAS annual meeting in April 1924, we have organized two exhibitions that are on display through the end of the year. One exhibition showcases art from the collection and the other features a timeline of the building's history and a mural by students at the Alain Locke School in West Philadelphia.

Members of the public with a government-issued photo ID, such as a driver's license or passport, can now visit the NAS building on weekdays between 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. No reservations required! See architectural highlights and the special exhibitions on view.

Our exhibitions explore relationships among the arts and sciences, engineering, and medicine. Our public events series features staged theatrical readings, film screenings, and the D.C. Art Science Evening Rendezvous, a monthly discussion forum exploring relationships among the arts and sciences.
